Toby Young, a graduate of the University of Oxford, is an Associate Editor and regular columnist at The Spectator. He is also founder and Director of The Free Speech Union and Editor-in-Chief of The Daily Sceptic. Prior to this he worked in a range of newspapers and magazines including Vanity Fair; his time in New York is recorded in his best-selling memoir How to Lose Friends and Alienate People and in the follow-up The Sound of One Hand Clapping. In 2011 he co-founded the West London Free School and established the Knowledge Schools Foundation Trust of which he remains a member. He is an avid supporter of Queens Park Rangers and records their exploits in his regular Substack blog The Pride of West London.
