The man to her left is Geoff Davis, who had been chair of ACLALS (Association of Commonwealth Languages and Literature Association), and from 2008- 2011 Professor Wilson was chair of EACLALS (the European branch of ACLALS) and used to accompany him on these events. Sadly he passed away about 2019. (The theme for 2016 was ‘An Inclusive Commonwealth’.)
